O’s & Ludy’s Place Policies
Activities
Being a small assisted living home, we do not have scheduled activities, however, there may, on occasion, be entertainment, such as pianist or music. We will have game night or bingo during the week. There is also a cable TV in the living room for your enjoyment.
Automobiles
We do have off street parking and if you have a vehicle, you may use that area for parking. We ask that you do not block the driveway so that management can make food deliveries and other necessary drop offs.
Billing Statements
Monthly billing statements will be delivered on the 15th day of the month. That statement will be an itemized bill for rent, personal care and services rendered, if any.
Payment
Payment on rent invoices is due on the first of the month. Checks should be made payable to O’s & Ludy’s Place and given to the owners
Concerns and Grievances
Resident should feel free to express their concerns directly to management without hesitation. All concerns will be addressed in a timely manner and you can expect a follow-up conversation about the issues brought to our attention. Another avenue to express concern is written and signed suggestions to Management. There is always someone in-house to address your issues.
Dining Room
Meals will be served in the dining room. We will serve breakfast at 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Lunch will be the largest meal of the day and served at 1:00 p.m. A light dinner will be served at 6 p.m.
Food Selection
Morning meals will consist of a variety of hot and cold cereals, fresh baked items, bagels, toast, English muffins, fruits, juices, coffee and tea. The main meal will consist of meats, fish, casseroles, etc., served with vegetables and side dishes. At night, a lighter meal of soups and salads or sandwiches will be served. There will be an array of desserts to enjoy. A dietician consultant can advise special diets, if necessary. A festive holiday meal will be provided on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Day and Easter. A Fourth of July cookout will be provided on the rear deck. Please feel free to suggest a meal that you would like us to serve.
In the Event of Illness
If you are ill and cannot go to the dining room, it can be arranged to bring a meal to your room.
Emergency Plan
We have taken every precaution for your safety but in the event of some unforeseen emergency, please STAY CALM and exit the home as soon as possible. If an alarm sounds, it will go directly to the wireless alarm company and they will handle it from there. We will have fire drills on a monthly basis in a continuing effort to keep you safe. Management is always in the building and will escort you to safety. Again, we will meet and have discussions monthly so that we are ready for any emergency that may arise.
Going Away
We ask that you sign the logbook to let us know if you are away for short periods during the day or if you are planning to be away overnight to visit family members or friends. This will prove helpful if someone is trying to contact you and is unable to do so.
